Quit Your Job – If Not Now Then When

Greetings!  It’s 2010 and it’s time to go beyond setting goals.  It’s time to put things in place so that we can manifest our dreams and goals in our lives.  Are you ready?

Now, about “quiting your job”….I don’t really expect you to walk in and just quit your job.  I just wanted to get your attention.

It would be nice though, wouldn’t it?  To just walk in and tell your boss to take a long walk off of a short plank!  To take a “flying leap”!  To kiss certain places “where the sun don’t shine!”  You get the point.

I didn’t actually quit my job.  I was “fired”!  It doesn’t really matter the circumstances.  I hated the job.  And as much as I tried to conceal it, management knew that I hated it.  It wasn’t that I walked around with a frown on my face; I simply never smiled.

Not a single day passed that I didn’t dread going in to that “hellhole”.  So they put me out of my misery.  So whether I quit my job or got fired they did me a favor.  I thank you.

Surprisingly, I didn’t feel worried or afraid.  I felt a sense of peace. Why?  Because for the past year I’ve been studying this “internet marketing thing”.  I’m talking about the kind of curriculum that isn’t even being taught in universities.  Material so cutting edge that I’ve configured Google Alerts to keep me informed the instant any new developments take place…day by day.

As a result, I am quickly developing a client base “overnight” that is providing “offline opportunities”  with the knowledge I am learning.  So I can generate the  money I need to support my family while I develop solid “online processes” that will earn income for me without having to physically be there on a daily basis.  In other words, I’d rather spend my time on the beach!

So it appears that a business is manifesting itself in my community that keeps me afloat.  However, I have still have to physically  to “perform” the job or service repeatedly in order to get paid.  This is a problem.

Don’t get me wrong.  The moneymaking potential is fantastic.   And make no mistake, I’m going to do what I have to do in order to never have to go to a J.O.B. again!  No more “Just Over Broke for me.  I’m tired of being at the mercy of “the economy”.

But ideally what I want to create is a “passive” income stream.  A passive income stream is one that will pay me whether I’m physically there or not. Much like the stock market  used to do and what real estate was supposed to ( in theory anyway).

Internet Marketing strategies will help me to get there….closer to the beach, that is.  So I can tan in the sun for weeks or even months if I so desire.

It’s time to stop blaming “jobs” for where we find ourselves in life.  Most of the time what stops us from acheiving the success we desire isn’t the job we have or don’t have.  It isn’t our lack of money, knowledge,or even who we know. It isn’t our poor credit, no credit, or even the fact that we may have  filed bankruptcy. It isn’t any of those things.
What stops us from achieving the success that we desire is our belief system.

So what do we have to do to get started.  What is the first step.  We must first decide who we want to be.  Because believe it or not, we can decide.  This is worth repeating:  We Must Decide WHO We Want to Be.
Next we need to establish clear and definite  goals.  Then we must write them down and attach a timeline for their attainment!  Put it on the calendar and walk to your destiny.
The last step is the most important. We must  believe that their attainment is possible.  We must then burn all bridges behind us and move forward towards their attainment with the utmost resolve.
Lastly, we must believe that the attainment of dreams is possible!  We must then move beyond believing that it is possible into believing in our “heart of hearts” that it is possible for us!
It does not matter how much we want something. If we do not believe that we are deserving of it we will not receive it. Before we receive our desires in physical reality we must first receive them in our minds.
The question, therefore, is not: Can I quit my job? Of course you can.  The question is: Will I believe and trust in my God given abilities and gifts enough to give myself a chance to become who I am?
The correct answer is, “Of course you can”…but the question is reworded and thus, disquised as: “Will I make it if I don’t have a job?”
Decide, in advance, who you are and commit that image to words on paper.Create a blueprint that you can follow on a day by day basis and put those tasks on a calendar.  Then, “Show up”!  It’s been said that 85% of life is showing up. That’s what we have to do.  Simply show up!
But start and end your day in this manner: Ask yourself every morning, “What do I need to do today to ensure that I achieve my long-term goals” and ask yourself every evening, “What have I done today that will ensure me realizing my long-term goals”.
Seek to get better each and every day.  Measurably better. Each and every day seek to become more of who you are. And who are you?
You are who you say you are!
